Awesome Game... I need angry farmers!

Tip: The game is located here: http://ninjakiwi.com/Games/Strategy/Play/Zombie-Trailer-Park.html

It's an off site app:) Love the game.

Maybe the icon should 'link' to the ninja kiwi site ;)

Awesome game, well made.

Hi, great game.

Just wondering if you embedded all the images in the Flash version within your SWF which is on Ninja Kiwi?

If so did you do this by adding Embed tags into the .as and recompiling afterwards? or did you modify the target files?

skid(Posted 1+ years ago) #6
I built an asset module in .as using the Embed tags and modified mojo to use BitmapAsset and sound from class methods. Mark will be supporting a similar system hopefully a little more automated in a future update.

Thanks for the reply, sounds like the most sensible way to do it right now until Mark's update.

Sweeet Game skid!!

If you haven't already, you need to get this game on iOS and Android! I think it would do quite well.

skid(Posted 1+ years ago) #9
Thanks Spacehunter!

It is on iOS for free and has been making some pretty good income with the adMob advertising and not quite so much for the ad-blocker purchasable item.

Skid

I have played the iPhone version and its good but I didn't pay to remove the ads as I completed the 4 levels and finished the game. Maybe if you added more levels and a few "Harder" zombies in the later levels it may get more people buying and would also keep those with the ad version playing longer so more revenue that way.

ZTP is a good bus trip game but as I said needs more levels, it has the feeling of a demo version or a proof of concept at the moment. Still, doesnt stop me wishing I had written it though lol

p.s. Also just played the flash version again and you have the lables for the salvage yard and trailers swapped round

I've left Ninja Kiwi now but apparently ZTP2 is coming courtesy of standard Adobe Flash.

The nice thing about the ad revenue model is you can keep your game short and sweet, anything that retains average player attention for more than 2 minutes is considered a huge success in the industry.

Testing youtube tag...

simonh(Posted 1+ years ago) #13
What are you doing post-Ninja Kiwi skid? Going it alone?

skid(Posted 1+ years ago) #14
Oops, sorry for late reply Si, only just noticed this thread, btw what are the tags for the youtube post? nice feature!

As for myself, I've had 3 different jobs in last 6 months, and now interviewing for something a little more permanent.

Replacing ( ) with [ ] of course!

Good luck with the job hunt. Hopefully with your CV you'll find something double-quick.

I, or better we, still really enjoy this game, on iOS as well as the web version.

I just wish it had more waves and levels though. I also would pay for an update or a v2. Kind of weird that it's the only good game from Ninja Kiwi. Any plans from Ninja Kiwi or from you regarding a new/updated version?

taumel(Posted 1+ years ago) #17
Btw. if you buy ZTP for iOS it doesn't update all devices which are linked to your account.

I really enjoy this game. Am working on the final level on iOS and also enjoy playing the flash version as well. The flash version actually seems a little smoother to me. The one thing that bugs me about the iOS version is how you have to order troops not by pressing the buttons but the descriptions below the buttons. Seems a little weird.

You should expand this if the money warrants it. It is a great game!

Curious if you make more money from the ads or the removal of the ads? Also, have you considered just selling this for 99 cents? It is definitely worth it. I've enjoyed it a lot more than many games I've paid for.
