Get to Da Choppa! is my entry to the Syntax Bomb’s retro game competition 2017/18. The rules were to create a game using a 320×200 resolution and only 16 colours.
The entry version has 6 levels, I wanted to add so much more!
Mostly inspired by the Amiga game: Apocalypse.
Developed in Monkey2!

Love the look!
Yay, looks great! 😀
Oh no, Windows only! 😮
Will check later… booting up Windows will take forever since I haven’t used it in months and it will try to update…
Sorry Ethernaut, the Mac hasnt been updated to the latest OS so can’t compile Monkey2 on it 🙁
Get to Da Choppa! Won second place in the Syntax Bomb’s Retro Code a game competition 🙂
(Thanks to Adam for the little 2nd place image)
I stopped being lazy and booted up Windows… very fun! Super hard to avoid bullets and aim at the same time, though!
Looks good therevills, Too bad I can’t play it on my Mac. I am still running Sierra and I can compile and link Monkey2 files fine.
Our Mac Mini is still running OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)… as for some game portals I needed to compile for that platform!!
