I was working with ‘viewlayout’ example, and it works fine for android except that it goes into Landscape mode by default. Even if my orientation is up and down it still remains in Landscape.

In the previous iteration of Monkey I used a directive to put it into the mode I wanted:

    #ANDROID_SCREEN_ORIENTATION=”landscape”

    #ANDROID_SCREEN_ORIENTATION=”locked”

How do I get similar results in Monkey 2?

    Nevermind.

I just changed the AndroidManifest.xml and that works.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to pass preprocessor directives from code.(if there is I am missing it.)

Yes, modifying the manifest is the correct way to do this in monkey2.
