I started working on a Sprite Editor. I am modeling it after the sprite Editor in Pico8.

I currently have a couple of features implemented.

    • Pencil
    • Lines
    • Fill
    • Eraser
    • Preview
    • Palette view
    • Grid
    • Export to Clipboard as Monkey2 Array of Arrays (Only selected sprite only atm (key = c))
    • Selection + copy / paste / cut
    • Color Picker
    • Flip Horizontal and Vertical
    • Map Editor(simple)
    • Grid toggle
    • Filled Rect/Outlined Rect/Filled Oval/Outlined Oval
    • Sprite dimension selection at start(8×8, 16×16, 32×32)

I have only added a Commodore 64 palette. There is a sprite library at the bottom where you can store and select sprites for editing, 4×80 individual atm. The left mouse button is for the tools and middle mouse button is to select the color under the mouse.

The way I have it thought out is that I want to use it besides monkey2 and copy sprites into my code. I have yet to look up the file commands and possible options for the emscripten export/import.

A undo/redo is something I would want to add also later on. And I hope it wil be easy to switch to different sprite resolutions.

The code is in my github in the sprite editor folder. (user pakz001)
